THE panel of unknowns assembled by RFU chief executive Bill Sweeney to preside over the RFU’s latest “Carry On Eddie” caper will have got a nasty jolt this week.
The news of Eddie Jones hopping on a plane to Japan to engage in his consultancy coaching role with Suntory Sungoliath – including swapping trade secrets, with New Zealand flyhalf Beauden Barrett – will have hit them like a Manu Tuilagi hand-off.
