SO THE New Zealanders are suddenly worried about the injury fall-out from Super Rugby Aotearoa. Welcome to the 21st century. Players have been going down like ninepins in England and France for ever and a day.
How do we depower the power game and save rugby from itself? It’s a question in need of an answer, so here goes: weight restrictions.
It is entirely possible to impose some kind of limit as a means of decreasing the avoirdupois averages and removing some of the human tonnage from the field of play.
