THIS is a bit of a stretch, admittedly, but if Cornish Pirates beat Saracens to promotion, just as they beat them on the field last weekend, where will it leave Exeter Chiefs?
The reigning European champions have benefited handsomely from their recruitment policy in the People’s Republic: think Jack Nowell, think Luke Cowan-Dickie.
If the Cornish club start fishing in their own waters, so to speak, who knows what they might catch?
