GLOUCESTER will welcome Worcester next weekend for a desperation- fuelled Premiership basement derby.
Under normal circumstances, every last nerve-ending would have been exposed. But we are heading towards a new normal, with relegation likely to be suspended for several seasons. Once it’s gone, there will be no appetite amongst the elite clubs to bring it back.
BT, the most important broadcasters in the English game, are deeply unhappy at the enforced dilution of their offering. You can see their point.
