TONGA, with their incredible players worldwide, hold a special place in the hearts of many in rugby so it was with some dismay we heard news earlier this week that the Pacific Island nation appeared to have banned schoolgirls from playing rugby.
Happily, that decision, which provoked outrage far and wide, now seems to have been rescinded by the Prime Minister but it was a curious episode.
