Luther Burrell and Stephen Myler have been added to the England squad ahead of their tour of Argentina tour.
The Northampton Saints backs duo will join up with the squad after this weekend’s Aviva Premiership final against Leicester.
Both uncapped, Burrell, 25, and Myler, 28, replace the injured Alex Goode (shoulder) and Joel Tomkins (ankle).
England Head Coach Stuart Lancaster said: “Luther Burrell and Stephen Myler have both played well in the second half of the season and they’ve both got a great opportunity to put a marker down for the future on tour in Uruguay and Argentina.
With nine tourists featuring for the Tigers and the Saints on Saturday, England have also called up Exeter Chiefs scrum-half Haydn Thomas and Sale Sharks lock Kearnan Myall to prepare for this Sunday’s match against the Barbarians at Twickenham Stadium.
Scrum half Thomas, 30, is in contention for a first appearance in a senior England shirt while 6ft 7in lock Myall, 26, has featured for England Saxons since 2009.
Lancaster added: “This week it’s good to have Haydn and Kearnan involved in the senior England environment ahead of what should be a great game against a very strong Barbarians team. They have both played well recently and deserve this opportunity”
England name their side for Sunday’s match against the Barbarians on Friday at 11am.
