Alain Rolland will be the man in the middle as Top14 giants Clermont and Toulon face off for the Heineken Cup final on May 18.
This is the second time the Irishman will referee the Heineken Cup final as he was the one in charge in 2004 for the final between London Wasps and Toulouse.
His assistant referees will be Wayne Barnes (England) and George Clancy (Ireland).
The ERC have also announced that Welshman Nigel Owens will take charge of the Amlin Challenge Cup final the day before between Leinster and Stade Français.
This will be Owens’ fifth final in seven years after the 2007 Amlin Cup final and the 2008, 2009 and 2012 Heineken Cup finals.
His assistant referees at the RDS Arena will be Leighton Hodges and Ian Davies (both Wales).
