Henley Hawks centre James Comben has been suspended for six months for an Anti Doping violation by the RFU.
The National League Two South player tested positive for Methylhexanamine (MHA), a prohibited stimulant, after appearing for London Wasps A against Exeter Braves in the Aviva A League match between the sides at Henley last November.
Comben was temporary suspended in December while waiting for the outcome of the hearing and the disciplinary panel suspended him from December 21, 2012 until June 20, 2013. He is free to play again on June 21.
Judge Blackett said: “There has been an enormous amount of publicity about doping in recent years and a player who plays in the RFU National Leagues or in the A team of a professional Premiership side must know that he is responsible for all substances ingested.”
