BARNES director of rugby Jack Heald is left frustrated at the RFU’s tackle laws which have made levels three and four the hardest to referee.
Heald’s men lost a potentially pivotal encounter in the National 2 East title race against second-place Dorking when they were last in action before Christmas.
The match made headlines for all the wrong reasons due to the eight cards – six yellow and two red – referee Tom Bird dished out to a furious Barnes.
Heald refuses to comment on those decisions given he’s yet to review the game...
