MOST Championship sides spent this week gearing up for the Premiership Cup but Cambridge and Chinnor were left twiddling their thumbs, both excluded from the competition.
Due to Cambridge finishing bottom of the second tier and Chinnor being newly promoted, the RFU opted to make this year’s Premiership Cup competition a 20-team affair.
