Hosts capitalise as Exeter implode

EXETER University implode as Camborne’s charge continues.

Things started perfectly for the hosts who led after two minutes through Ben Priddey.

Exeter responded quickly, scoring through Harrison Hall.

Despite their dominance up front, Camborne struggled with discipline, receiving two yellow cards, and this cost them as Sam Walker went over for a try just before half-time to take Exeter out to a commanding lead, and there was then time for Walker to add a penalty, and give Exeter control at the break.

Just as in the first half, Exeter seemed to switch off at the kick-off, with Alex Ducker scoring after a neat move from a .

Exeter then scored through Jack Forsythe.

But Camborne didn’t let this phase them, as a clever line-out move put captain Jon Drew through.

From here, the hosts began to prove why they’ve looked so strong this season.

Dan Marais and Harry Larkins scored within three minutes of each other to take control of the match.

And three tries from Larkins, Ducker and Tommy-Lee Southworth in the five minutes took the game to beyond doubt.
