CHESTER dominated the second half, but came away frustrated.

Rhys Hamilton came close in the opening moments for the visitors but, after a number of phases along the Otley line, he found a gap and sailed through with Morgan Bagshaw adding the conversion.

Otley bounced back four minutes later after Callum Irvine caught a clearance kick, eventually passing the ball to Jacob Holmes who skirted around a couple of defenders to score.

From a in the Chester half, the ball went through two sets of hand before Will Derry forced his way over with Irvine adding the conversion.

Towards the half-hour mark, Otley’s pack took control gaining a penalty just inside the Chester half, and another in the opposition’s 22. They

then got a scrum and having gone forward, were awarded a penalty try and Chester went down to 14.

Chester were held up over the line, but as the half came to an end Chris Deehan went over with his pack, with Joe Heaton adding the extras. The second half was nearly all Chester, were held up for a second time, and even with Otley down to 13 at one point they just couldn’t break Otley’s defensive line.
