EXETER University just had the edge in the battle of the students.
The game started quickly, with Exeter’s Tom Burton going over within five minutes, converted by Sam Walker.
The home side’s power then showed, with James Bennett going over and Ben Taylor adding the extras, before Walker knocked over a penalty to make the scores 7-10 on the half-hour mark.
He then added a try of his own to make the score 7-15 at half-time in the favour of the Exeter men.
