Minikin keen to use pain of last year as motivation

HULL Ionians fly-half Lewis Minikin was “absolutely gutted” come the end of last season after a tough campaign and a heartbreaking ending with Yorkshire.
Ionians finished last season second bottom of the table suffering 19 losses and picking up just six wins. And it was a narrow loss in the County Championship final that made it an even tougher end to the season.
Minikin had a chance to win it late on, but saw his kick drift wide, handing Kent back-toback titles and admitted it was a tough moment for himself.
