SINCE England's U20 World Championship win, many have called for an U18 edition, but coach Jonathan Pendlebury says it would not work.
Mark Mapletoft’s team delivered England’s first Junior World Cup title in eight years by beating France 21-13 in the final.
Numerous U18s players toured South Africa last year for that win.
Lucas Friday, who only turned 18 a few days before the final, played a key role.
This demonstrates the RFU’s much improved ‘Club England’ approach of players transitioning through the pathways.
