Dean Richards, the most decorated coach in Leicester Tigers’ history, has given Michael Cheika’s appointment the big thumbs up.
Cheika this week became Leicester’s 14th head coach, and the fifth Australian of the Premiership era, after signing a two-year deal to succeed countryman Dan McKellar.
The 57-year-old from Sydney joins Tigers after a two-year stint as head coach of Argentina, who he led to fourth place at the 2023 World Cup.
