Maitland to call time in summer

Saracens wing Sean Maitland, 35, will retire from rugby at the end of the season.

The 53-cap Scotland flyer, who represented New Zealand at U20 level, as well as the Maori All Blacks before moving to the Northern Hemisphere, has played 147 times for Saracens, winning three Premiership titles and two European crowns, scoring the winning try in the 2019 final against Leinster.
Maitland, who was a victorious British and Irish Lion in 2013, said: “Saracens is a place I will always treasure. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to making my career so enjoyable from start to finish.”
