Holders out as big rivals York snatch narrow win

DEFENDING champions Driffield were dramatically beaten 31-30 by York to ensure there will be a new name on the Papa John’s Cup this year.
Driffield were enjoying home advantage given the tie having to be reversed due to York’s Clifton Park home being handed over to the cricket club, but they couldn’t make it count.
Owen Scurry, Reuben Kelly, Joe Robinson and Jack Webster were all on target for Driffield but York – whose head coach Lee Denham announced this week that he would be stepping down at the end of the season following eight year...
