LOUGHBOROUGH’S fine win at Chester, six tries to two, reflected their enterprise and use of the ball that came their way.
It demonstrated what can be achieved despite a malfunctioning set-piece and the fluidity of the play belied the seemingly endless string of penalties.
It didn’t start that way. At first Loughborough were at sea – coughing up a penalty at the kick-off, fluffing the restart and conceding a converted try by Guy Ford from a quick tap.
