THIS was a big win for Chester, five tries to two against title contenders Luctonians.
The visitors had the wind behind them in the first half but either kicked inaccurately or chose to carry the ball. As a consequence they lost momentum and Chester took what proved a decisive 21-7 lead.
First, Tom Holloway tracked onto an inside ball to score under the posts. Then Morgan Bagshaw chipped an oncoming Luctonians’ defence for Tom Furnival to score.
