A BITTERLY cold day did not prevent a cracking game between two well-matched sides as Tynedale narowly held off Otley.
Otley will rue a string of penalties when well placed, as they were still pressing for a winner at the end.
Tynedale were first to show, when a solid catch and drive from a lineout brought a try for Ralph Johnston, but the patient handling of the Otley backs was rewarded with a try for Sam Taylor after 21 minutes.
