REDRUTH ground out a win over Chester on a heavy pitch thanks to some old-fashioned forward play.
The game kicked off in sunshine, but that didn’t last long as the rain swept in to further hamper the sides.
Chester scored first from a catch-and-drive, with scrum-half Harry Craven getting among the forwards to dot down. Morgan Bagshaw converted to settle the visitors’ nerves.
