Don’t forget day job!

THE current phenomenon of wingers ‘looking for work’ in the middle of the pitch – exciting and productive as it can be – comes with drawbacks. This was exemplified at Sandy Park recently when at least one of Ollie Sleightholme’s tries could have been thwarted by a winger doing his ‘day job’ of guarding his wing. Jack Nowell was an arch proponent of ‘looking for work’ and it was great to watch, but he had the nous and speed to get back to make cover tackles. Sometimes it’s best not to wander off...
