THERE remain many problems in the structure of English rugby, all attributable to the Board of the RFU.
To deal with only one aspect which was condemned by all articles in last week’s Rugby Paper and every other article I’ve seen, the ring fence and promotion and relegation, is perhaps not the most important but certainly the most hypocritical and imposed by the RFU/Premiership/CVC cabal.
As TRP points out, Newcastle have lost every game this season. Although the ring fence will save them from relegation, it will not save them or others from bankruptcy, or the future.
