Tom’s loving life at Lymm after taking the next step

Lymm celebrated a historic promotion to National 2 North last season for the first time in the club’s 63-year history.
Despite being surrounded by larger rivals like Wirral, Chester and Sale FC, Lymm have been growing organically, nurturing talent through an impressive youth section.
Fly-half Tom Shard, who joined Lymm aged 13 and made his 100th senior appearance for the club last January, said: “We didn’t sign a lot of new players in the summer, and we’re possibly the only club in National Two North to not pay any players and keep our amateur status.
