I AM sure that we are all concerned at this season’s falling attendances at Premiership matches but there is a measure of “shooting ourselves in the foot” here. Last Saturday, two Premiership matches were held on the same day and almost at the same time within 11 miles of each other in the West of England Combined Authority Region.
The combined attendance at the Bristol and Bath games was in excess of 30.000. Given that many of us are not partisan supporters, with perhaps at least 10 per cent of us simply wishing to see a good game of rugby, surely the powers that...
