The first time Camborne and Redruth played a rugby match against one another, back in 1887, Queen Victoria sat on the English throne and, before this season, the last time the two faced off in a competitive league fixture in 1991, John Major was the Prime Minister.
Now that Camborne have ascended the ranks of the rugby pyramid and joined their ancient enemy in National League 2 West, one of the most storied rivalries in English rugby has major stakes once again.
For Camborne head coach Stephen Larkins, the spectacle has already been worth the wait.
