LAST season’s beaten finalists Ystrad Rhondda booked their place in the last eight of the WRU Championship Cup after winning their second round clash 24-19 at Ammanford.
The visitors scored all of their points in the first half courtesy of tries from Iestyn Griffiths, Mason Roderick and Cole Morgan, all converted by Rhys Truelove who also kicked a penalty.
Ammanford had taken an early lead through Elis Lewis’ try, converted by Sam Potter.
