Saracens DoR Mark McCall said he and his side would have to ‘lick their wounds’ in the wake of their record Premiership defeat away to Exeter Chiefs.
Not since they were trounced 60-10 on home soil by Wasps in February 2020 have the Londoners experienced such a dismal day in the top flight.
McCall, though, could have few complaints, saying: “We were second best in everything all game.
Exeter were very good and we were not. It’s a tough pill to swallow and we were on the back foot all game.”
