THE French are trying to encourage a new batch of Antoine Duponts to take up the game by distributing a free children’s cartoon rugby magazine called ‘Allez Les Petits!!! Le Journal de la Coupe du Monde’. It relates the story of a pair of characters Bob and Leo, wearing red, white and blue wigs, trying to follow the tournament and gives a lowdown on some of the history of the competition. It seems to have done the trick with a group of schoolchildren walking past England’s training in ground in Aix-en-Provence last week singing ‘Allez Les Bleus’...
