Undefeated New Zealand were crowned World Rugby Pacific Four Series 2023 champions yesterday.
The Black Ferns, who beat England last autumn in the World Cup final, saw off the USA 39-17 to secure their second consecutive Pacific Four title.
Maia Roos, 21, the youngest ever Black Ferns captain, helped lead the fightback after trailing 17-5 at the break. New Zealand scored 34 unanswered second-half points to coast to victory.
Tyson Beukeboom – winning her 60th Test cap – scored a hat-trick to help Canada defeat Australia 45-7 to finish second in the competition.
