IT was interesting to see the average home attendances for the Premiership clubs for the past season.
What I can’t quite fathom is how Saracens manage to survive on such poor gates? You recently quoted them as having an average home crowd of just over 13,000.
How can this be when, until very recently the Stonex had a capacity of just 10,000?
In addition, if you only count the number of “home” matches played there, and discount the “home” games played elsewhere, I’m sure the true figure would not be much more than 8,000?
