Dings Crusaders? Crazy name, cracking club. One of the oldest and most successful of the dozens of local teams in Bristol, they emerged from a Christian mission in a tough area of town at the back end of the 19th century, and if they do not always read the Gospels before matches – turning the other cheek has never been central to their game plan – they generally play rugby the right way.
