ST PETER’S held their nerve to win 17-7 at Rhydyfelin to pick up the points they needed to pip arch-rivals Rumney to the Division 1 East Central title.
Coming into the final game of the season ‘The Rocks’ needed a victory to close the three-point gap on Rumney. Their 40- 20 midweek win over St Joseph’s put them within touching distance of the title and after a nervy first half they led 7-0 with a try by centre Gbemi Fisher that was converted by Che Thomas.
