FORMER England back row Brad Shields is returning to Super Rugby side the Hurricanes.
Shields, 31, is currently playing for French club Perpignan on a shortterm deal.
The flanker left Wellington in 2018 to play for Wasps, but after the Midlands based side last year went into administration and were relegated from the Premiership, Shields was made redundant.
His signing will help offset the loss of Hurricanes captain Ardie Savea, who is taking a sabbatical in Japan next year.
