Twelve years after their most recent departure from the Premiership, Leeds were pushed to the brink of English rugby’s fourth tier with defeat at Moseley.
The home side’s win was built around scrum and maul power, plus an eye-catching display from teenage scrum half Freddie Painter.
Playing up the slope, Leeds found plenty of first-half success when they got the ball into wider channels.
