Newport Salop avenged their harrowing defeat in Cornwall in the reverse fixture as they came up with a seven-try success against Redruth.
Redruth travelled without their dual-registered players and with a youthful backline, but Newport’s speed and precision in attack, and tenacity in defence, would have been a handful for any line-up.
Newport came out all guns firing and were 17-0 to the good within 15 minutes, Nat Titchard-Jones, Danny Brough and Chris Taylor the try scorers.
