ABERAVON surprised everyone with a richly deserved win to keep alive their play-off bid.
After three defeats on the bounce, they showed the character that saw them start the season with six bonus-point triumphs.
It was Llandovery’s third defeat in 16 games and a blow to their hopes of making the top two to clinch a home draw in the play-offs. Aberavon’s win takes them up to fourth, but they have played three more than play-off rivals Merthyr and Newport, and two more than Ebbw Vale and Llandovery.
