Ireland back row Claire Molloy feels a potential British and Irish Lions tour will massively boost the sport ‘as it’s the final hurdle that the women’s game is yet to achieve’.
Molloy, who has 70 caps and scored 50 points for Ireland, is delighted that a potential tour is in the feasibility process.
The study looked at a range of aspects, including rugby, brand, commercial, financial, spectator, logistical and scheduling considerations. The Lions will continue to look at the potential structure and timing of a tour before making any final decision.
