Player welfare is something that I think everybody in any sport agrees should be at the heart of any and all decisions made. Of course, what was once thought to be safe can, years later, be shown to actually cause issues that could not have been forecast.
Who would have thought that heading a football, even the old heavy leather weight ones, could lead to dementia?
