SO rugby’s authorities continue their inexorable emasculation of the sport. It must be obvious to all that they will not stop until all physical contact is banned and we can settle down to the permanent switch to touch rugby.
Outside of the iniquity of inflicting this nonsense on the community game, where there is no compelling evidence that it is an issue, the conclusion to be drawn is that the community game has become an experimental laboratory to test out changes before applying them to the professional game if appropriate.
