Canterbury recovered from a slow start to get the better of Rochford.
A penalty midway through the opening half from man-of-the-match Frank Reynolds set the ball rolling and helped get the team back on track, and also marked the start of Reynolds’ remarkable kicking performance, with not a single kick from the tee missed all game.
With play rarely leaving the Hundreds’ half, it wasn’t long before Tyler Oliver found a gap and powered through to put the home team 10-0 up at the break.
