REDS and the Irish served up an entertaining, quality game despite the heavy conditions at Scotland Lane.
Reds played up the slope first and started well.
They were on the board with six minutes played, Robbie Smith touching down after some excellent recycling from the pack, with prop Jake Caulfield involved twice.
Both sides looked to handle at every opportunity and Irish took the game to Redcliffians only to find an organised defence holding them off.
