IN the opening round of the season the accolades must go to Rossendale who put 15 tries past Kirkby Lonsdale for an 87-0 victory at Marl Pits.
In a game that ended up more as a procession than a contest, the experienced Matt Lamprey, recruited form Preston Grasshoppers, led the charge with three classic No 8 tries, as well as showing craft and guile elsewhere. Curtis Strong also bagged a hattrick, with newcomer Jake Edge-Spedding and Joe Burns in for two.
