Quantative easing is not the answer

I WAS intrigued by Colin Boag’s recommendation that, in a nutshell, squad sizes should be increased to cater for all the proposed changes to improve player welfare.
Whilst player welfare is paramount, his view is the rugby equivalent of quantative easing… if there is a player problem let’s throw more players at it! Just how big should squad sizes be? To what level do we allow squad sizes to be introduced? What impact would it have on the number of sides a club could put out every week?
