Damian Penaud scored a brace as France put together a strong second-half performance to earn a commanding victory over Japan in the first Test at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi yesterday.
The sides were level at 13-13 at half-time but the strength and fitness of the French proved decisive in the second period in hot and humid conditions.
France coach Fabian Galthie said: “I think we have to improve in all areas for next week.”
