WE at Hull Ionians take issue with comments made by Hull RUFC DoR Gary Pearce.
Mr Pearce says: “Ionians are on the outskirts of Hull, which is regarded as the affluent end of town, that’s why they have a good union system as a lot of the affluent kids who go to private schools go to Ionians.”
Mr Pearce appears to be suggesting that Hull Ionians have an advantage over his club, which he puts down to ‘location’. This is not correct and frankly, it is insulting. If Hull Ionians has any advantage over Hull RUFC, it is down to over 30 years of hard work fr...
