CALLUM ROBERTS’ early yellow card proved pivotal as Guernsey lost a tight game with Bury St Edmunds.
Full-back Roberts was given a yellow card for a high tackle after only three minutes, with his indiscretion leading to the awarding of a penalty try for the visitors.
By the time he returned to the field, Bury St Edmunds’ fullback Charlie Reed had stretched their advantage to 10-0 and the Raiders were never quite able to get on terms despite laying siege to the visitors’ tryline late on.
