Pontypridd had won 34-18 in a league encounter at Church Bank on 27 Februray, but this time things were different as the Drovers went on to reach the semi-finals of the WRU Premiership Cup.
The hard-fought victory means Llandovery will now meet Aberavon in the last four, with Newport due to face Cardiff in the other semi-final on 26 March
