AS a supporter of a Championship club (Coventry), the RFU’s mooted restructure of the division gives me cause for concern.
Having already sliced funding for Championship clubs in half in 2020, if these proposals go ahead, the future Championship will just be an incubator for Premiership academy players rather than a vibrant competition in it’s own right.
